To Stumble is To Rise...If We Learn

No one wants to fall...we avoid it.

There are plenty people dedicated to avoiding the idea of clashing with the ground. No matter where one's foot trods (no matter what direction one travels) there are few people who, without the aid of some daredevil desire, want to fall.

What do individuals fear the most about falling? ...the pain.

In the physical, when one tumbles, he/she encounters degrees of physical trauma such as scrapes, bruises, contusions, and fractures. Consequently, mental trauma is far more difficult to ameliorate because the brilliance of one's mind will not allow him/her to stop reliving the tumble. Details cloud the brain and send the victim into a fear-induced stupor of anxiety. The chief part of the mental anguish is rooted in the fear of another fall.

Sometimes, the level of trauma experienced after someone falls is so severe that the victim feels it is impossible to stand. These feelings parallel with the feelings one has when he/she falls in love with someone who does not share the same degree of love.

We fall in degrees.

Whether it be a simple mistake that leaves us contemplative or a complex error that causes utter catastrophe...no matter what our circumstances and no matter to what severity we faltered  the one thing we must always maintain is our faith in God and our belief in ourselves. We must know in the end, no matter how hard, no matter how far, no matter how high we fall, as long as we breathe the air that collects around our souls, we have a chance to stand, brush off fear, and try again.

No matter the fall...trying again is an indication that we know our worth...that no matter what the misstep or mistake, we are valuable.

By knowing this...we should never lose hope.

May you...never lose hope.
